Violent clashes in east Kobani Kobani: The resistance by Kurdish YPG/YPJ (Peoples/Womens Defence Units) against Islamic State militants in the Kobani Canton of Syrian Kurdistan, Rojava, has entered the 16th day. Clashes have intensified on the eastern and southern fronts last night, reported the ANF correspondent on the ground, stating that last night witnessed violent clashes in the village of Kolmet to the south of the canton, and in the village of Şêran to the east.
