Virat Kohli sought Sachin Tendulkars help in order to correct his game. Virat Kohli struggled during the England tour, repeatedly falling to deliveries outside-off and could manage just one half-century score. Eager to make amends after a disastrous series, in which he averaged 13.40 in Tests and 18.00 in the One-Dayers, Kohli headed to Mumbai to correct his flaws and guiding him was none other than the Master Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli worked hard under the watchful eyes of the former batting great at the Mumbai Cricket Associations (MCA) indoor training facility. Lalchand Rajput, who is the batting coach of Board of Control for Cricket in Indias (BCCI) special academy, was present at the Bandra-Kurla Complex where Kohli trained hard. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Rajput said: Virat was here for an intense session today. Sachin was present too. He is going to come in for practice over the next two-three days as well. Kohli, who batted on the quickest available pitch at the academy, initially struggled against the Mumbai Under-23 pacers, who were asked to maintain an outside the off-stump line. Tendulkar, who observed everything from the umpires position and from the adjoining pitch, was quick to advice the young batsmen on where he was going wrong. Since Virat had time, he felt he could come and just stay in touch. He worked on his off-stump game. We will have a better idea about how his form is in a couple of days, though international players dont take time, Rajput added. Yuvraj Singh, who also came to the academy, worked on his batting against the spinners.
