***Virgin America Ends San Jose Service*** From The Silicon Valley Business Journal: Virgin America will be shutting down service at Mineta San Jose International by the end of the year, citing that Market demand hasnt met expectations, and a focus on more lucrative long-haul destinations and opportunities are available The news comes on the heels of news from Virgin America of expansion at Dallas Ft. Worth Airport with 18 new flights to 5 destinations. The exact date isnt known of the end of service, but flights to and from SJC are not reflected in the carriers booking system after June. If you have travel plans to or from SJC with Virgin America, it is best to check with the airline to confirm if your flight will be operated.
