Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe, Senior Staff Attorney Henry V. Carr and Director of Property Management Denise Mills will appear today before the 30th Legislature of the Virgin Islands’ Committee on Finance. The purpose of today’s hearing is to testify in support of: • The proposed amendment to the lease agreement between the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands (through the Department of Planning and Natural Resources) and the Virgin Islands Port Authority to release Parcel No. 12A Subbase; • Quit Claim Deed to transfer Parcel No. 5 Estate Orkanshullet on Hassel Island from the Port Authority to the Government of the Virgin Islands for control by the Department of Planning and Natural Resources; and • Quit Claim Deed whereby the Government of the Virgin Islands (through the Department of Property and Procurement) will convey to the Port Authority Parcels 16, 17 and 18 in Subbase, Crown Bay, St. Thomas.
