Virginia Thomas - Bachelor of Education Degree Year 5 Train the Trainer - Traditional Parenting Certificate Workshop Title: Women Can Invest In Strength & the Girls Can Invest in Dreams Virginia is a motivational speaker & inspirational for many. Virginias teachings came from her personal life experiences & awakenings. She speaks 4 languages and is able to connect with people at a greater level by utilizing the sacred use of the languages. She learns by observing healthy couples & families, observing abusive spousal relationships, hearing & listening to the women & men share their experiences. She becomes very close to many people & carries that utmost energy that draws people to trust her with her gentle understanding ways. Virginias passion is to work with families, couples & community. Very traditional in her walk in life she believes that we were all put here on earth to live a good life. To protect our children & to protect ourselves from the abusive ways. To share the teachings of our ancestors. To listen to one another & to feel that connectedness with nature, water, land & universe for healing ways. The women need to learn the importance of children. The Mothers role to teach the girls about healthy relationships. The strength that Aboriginal Women gain today from their traditional teachings and their cultures comes from centuries of oral tradition and Aboriginal teachings, which emphasized the equality of man and woman and the balanced roles of both in the continuation of life. Such teachings hold promise for the future of the Aboriginal community as a whole. We have been told that more and more young Aboriginal people are turning to the beliefs and values of Aboriginal traditions to find answers for the problems which they are facing in this day and age. To every problem there is a solution. Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone
