Virtual Marketing and Media Communications Internship opportunity for IMMEDIATE AVAILABILTY! POSITION SUMMARY: Green Product Placement is seeking a Marketing and Media Communications Intern. The role will involve 1-2 day a week participation in the marketing and media communications process for an emerging startup Film and Television Product Placement company which specializes in placing green, sustainable, socially enterprising and/or local entrepreneurial products in mainstream entertainment media. The position is unpaid and for the 1st quarter 2014. HOURS: TBD/flexible hours from home (unless there is a special event or tight deadline.) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Monitors entertainment media (television shows, feature films) for presence of GPP client materials • Captures and collects images of GPP client presence in placed entertainment media • Watermarks images for client distribution as required • Researches pertinent market data and production data • Helps to create collateral marketing materials • May assist in creating Power Point and other multimedia presentations to be used in marketing and other related presentations • May help to research future possible clients • Executes detailed shipping instructions • Document management: assists in ensuring pertinent company wide documents remain current and accessible to applicable employees and team members: • Assists in updates to social network and/or conventional media: blog postings, press release copy, photo/video upload, etc. • Updates contact lists and other pertinent docs regularly for marketing purposes and prospecting purposes • May help maintain company wide database • Pitches in as needed during major client meetings, and/or presentation events SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • Background in marketing training and experience • Background in Film and Television specific training and experience; art department and/or props a plus • Proficient in: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Skype, google docs/drive, Photoshop or other image manipulation software. • Background in data management • Familiar with the methods and limitations of FedEx and similar next day shipping services • Familiarity with: Internet research, and social networking sites: Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, twitter, blogs, etc. • Possess a text equipped mobile device • Possess a computer with programs listed above • Reliable, articulate, team player • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Possess a professional demeanor • Interest in the new green economy and in greening the film and television business INTERESTED?
