The image title is “Running away” – Let me explain… Iv’e had a really hard few years learning business and it’s been a struggle from time to time. If you didn’t know then you will now, my main work is event photography and last February myself and Nigel Kenny joined forces to start a same day printing event business (Simply Event Photos). I had no idea what to do when we started but that’s why google was put in place, I still now sit up for hours on end way past midnight learning new things, like how to network properly. Yesterday I went to look at an office as we are getting more work in and it’s becoming to long of hours to sit in at home all day working then try and sleep in the same building, switching off becomes hard. So he images title as you may now have guessed is my get away, the only way I know how to switch off is to be stood in a location, wind my my face and chasing the light. Last night I really needed this after a long day editing, so at 4pm I set off on a two hour drive to finally meet Adam Barnes (we are heading to Iceland together in November). On arrive at the seven sisters national park there wasn’t a cloud in the sky but I wasn’t there to nail an image, I was there to release a few days worth of stress. I knew the image Iv’e wanted there for a while and as the cloud started to bank in I moved into place. I’m quite a keep my self to myself person when shooting as Adam found out last night, I strolled off down the bay and didn’t walk back to where the lads were until after I had the shot.
