Good waves, friendly locals, and remote empty beaches are addictive for surfers, invite them to come again and dance with the waves. Teleng Ria Beach, the closest beach from downtown Pacitan, is the perfect place to learn surfing or to swim. There are also a camping area, kids playing ground, and a resort in this beach. Its long coastline is connected to Pancer Beach on the east, which is also one of the favorite surfing spots. Srau Beach is the perfect beach for more skillful surfers who want to experience more challenging waves. Meanwhile, many surfers said that beautiful Watu Karung Beach with its white sand has world-class waves. The geographical condition of Pacitan disables the local people to grow rice. They turned to cassava which then becomes the favorite of agriculture industry in Pacitan and also the food stock.
