Visited the new SLS Las Vegas Hotel Casino today! It opened last night at midnight. There was an article in the newspaper this morning and the monkeys on their logo told me to go there! SO we did! As soon as we walked in, I knew instantly I belonged there...Giant CARDS greeted us in the entryway! LOVE & LUCK!! Considering what they had to work with, they did an excellent job remodeling the former Sands Casino into a lively and eclectic destination. Just opening up the ceilings with the industrial look did wonders for the casino floor. Everywhere you look there is something curious and interesting, its a feast for the eyes! HINT: Dont expect it all to make sense, just enjoy it for what it is, thats part of the fun of it! There were plenty of people exploring, checking in, playing games, enjoying the pool and eating at the restaurants. Each restaurant has a unique twist on old favorites, like watching the noodle preparation in the open kitchen at Ku Noodle house, at the 800 Degrees Pizzeria you choose your toppings at the counter as they prepare it and then fire it up fresh where Hot is GOOD! or the Griddle Cafe where Syrup is BAD! and the portions are HUGE!! Dont even get me started on the simply incredibly Mediterranean spices and aromas that were coming from Cleo. I walked past three times to experience it over and over. Im gonna have to go back there soon for dinner! TUNE in tomorrow for my delicious review of The SLS Buffet!
