Visitor to Abbeyleix needs our help. Her message reads as follows: Dearest Abbeyleix Bog Residents, I am writing you from the states with a comment as well as a pledge for a little business. We (my husband and I) came to visit upon your area purely by chance. In 2012, we were leaving Dublin for Bandon first thing in the morning where as my loving husband deprived me of coffee as he wanted to get on the road right away. Well the shakes had started to settle in (yes I know I have a problematic habit) when I saw the sign for your city and almost jumped out of my skin with delight when I saw a sign for an Abbey. Having been a girl that went to all girl Catholic schools I was on top of this-or so I thought. I said abbeys have nuns and nuns have coffee and at this point I dont care if it is take-away and cold. So we pulled into town and the joke was on us with the name but the first place we pulled into was a small location that had a playground a tiny museum and a tour of the artifacts and carpets for the Titanic. Now whenever my beloved tells stories of our adventure he is quick to mention the business owner who payed women well so they could be self sufficient. We picked up a tiny piece of bog art and my husband speaks fondly of your area and how he misses it greatly. We will be coming up on our five year wedding anniversary this year and I would like to bestow a gift to him from your area. If there is a photographer, bog artist, or anyone with art that symbolizes Abbeyleix please send me an email. I am looking to spend about 50 euros, shipping would be separate from that price and I would love to send it by An Post but I could negotiate, and I would like to have it done and in the mail the beginning of October. Thank you kindly for the beautiful memories, Jennifer OSuillibhain-Jansen irishjenn42@yahoo
