Vodafone India sucks big time. They have barred my incoming and outgoing calls stating non-use but are happy to accept my recurrent recharges to ensure that the number is active while on international roaming. Since last night, across 5 customer care calls and 1 gallery visit, they are completely confused about the status of my service: some say its active, others say its barred, someone else says its not in service at all and its likely that the number is given to someone else. They dont know their head from their arse and the co-ordination between teams is akin to the Mandi Beas river disaster. The best response was from the gallery visit: We are the Delhi store, we dont touch Bombay activations. Period.... unless a goddamn red carpet is laid out for us and you bow down to us callings us Lords of the Seven Kingdoms. You can never speak to the same Customer Rep twice, the seniormost Customer Rep in Bombay is not allowed to make outgoing calls to its Delhi counterparts to confirm reactivation, and they never brief the next customer service agent before they allow you to scale it up. Its a textbook case of extremely complicated and absolutely useless customer service. Vodafone shareholders, 191.00 Rs per share buy is a waste of money. This company is here only for your money and its pug pie story is a scam game.
