Volkswagen Passat in today from another garage struggling with an on going DPF issue. There were no stored faults in the engine management system to explain why the car wouldnt, regenerate there was however an engine management software update which we installed via our Autologic tool . After this update there was a fault that was revealed for the inlet shut off motor .Without the latest manufacturers update this fault could not be seen . This is becoming a more common occurrence where dealer level diagnostics are essential to carry out correct diagnoses and rectification.
