Volunteer Opportunity – news Crewe British Red Cross: AccessEquip Volunteer Driver - 2 to 3 hours weekdays Help individuals maintain their independence by providing them with transport to access assessments and equipment in a friendly and dignified manner. Treasurer and Trustee: The Willows Pre-School - time flexible (approx 5 hrs a month) with monthly meetings held on a Monday evening. Effectively manage the finances and as part of a team with the other trustees ensure the effective management and administration of the charity RVS: On Ward Volunteer (Leighton Hospital) - 4 hours per week 11.30 to 3.30, any day. Support older people through engagement in conversation, communication and practical support. LATH: Draughtsman/Architect - time flexible Manage the whole process of obtaining Planning permission for change of use, from retail to social/welfare, from start to finish. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, opportunities to meet and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a bright future. Volunteers are required for various roles: Volunteer Speaker - time flexible Inform, inspire interest and raise funds for Whizz-Kidz through giving talks in your local community. School Volunteer - time flexible Speak at school assemblies and presentations, promoting Whizz Kidz and helping to raise funds. Training and lots of support will be given. General Fundraising Volunteer - time flexible Provide support by manning stands at events, placing and picking up collection tins, putting up posters and raising awareness in your local area. Collections Volunteer - time flexible Store and Street Collectors are needed to raise money for Whizz-Kidz - they can be great fun! You just need to be 16 or older, or be accompanied by a parent or carer.
