Volunteer opportunity: Application Deadline: 12 PM, Today. Teach For Nepal is looking for 8-10 people, to be part of a Big Sister, Big Brother program. 40 students from remote village in Simle and Gimdi are coming to Kathmandu for an education trip and to take part in TFN event. They are here for 4 days starting from Feb 9-12. As a Big Sister/ Big Brother you will be involved in this program for almost a month. You will be joining a group of 10 BSBBs and plan an education tour for them as well as be involved in a fundraising project to make this trip possible for them. Once they arrive in Kathmandu, you will mentor 4-5 students as BIG Brother/ Sister - share you knowledge, wisdom and motivate them, as well as learn from them. All BSBB will participate in the opening event of TFN institute with their young brother/young sister. Your participation as BSBB will be acknowledged with a certificate. Moreover, its going to be a great learning opportunity to be involved and learn fund-raising skills, get to know students from different backgrounds, work in a team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children. Volunteering duration : Jan 20 - Feb 12 (2014). We are going to have an orientation program by the end of this week, so interested people can let me know as soon as possible.
