Volunteers Wanted - BWHEG Member/Volunteer The members of the group undertake a variety of tasks relating to the practical conservation and management of both the natural and historical features of the landscape. Examples of regular activities include: Habitat management tasks, such as tree planting or removal of unwanted vegetation on the heather morrland around Blaenavon. Wildlife monitoring, including surveying for red grouse, which are on the edge of their UK range in the area. Maintenance of footpaths and countryside furniture such as stiles and sign-posts.
