Volunteers are needed for Mazzoni Center’s largest fundraiser event of the year… Elixir: The Cure for the Common Gala. Volunteers are needed the day/evening of the event as well as the evening before, Friday, May 16. All volunteers who work at least a 4 hour shift will also receive free admission to the event and a Mazzoni Center tee shirt. TO SIGN UP, EMAIL [email protected] with your availability and interest. All Opportunities below will be at the Wells Fargo Bank Building at 123 S. Broad Street @ Sansom. Certain times/shifts may be flexible based on availability. Reliability and professionalism extremely important. Friday, May 16 – 6:00pm – 10:00pm (8) Volunteers are needed to help start setting up the event including tables and chairs, catering equipment, bar, silent auction and more. We will also likely be bringing some items from Mazzoni Center’s office at 21 South 12th Street over to the event location. Saturday, May 17 Set up and Event Prep – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00pm – 4 hour shifts available anywhere in that time Volunteers are needed to help complete set up the event including, registration area, catering prep, silent auction, signage and decorations, and much more. We will also likely be bringing some items from Mazzoni Center’s office at 21 South 12th Street over to the event location. Servers/Bussers/Catering support – 3:00pm – 10:00pm Volunteers are needed to work with our caterer to serve and provide backup support, bus and maintain the event area for both VIP reception and the main event. Black attire requested, previous experience preferred. Silent Auction Ambassadors and support – 4:00pm – 10:00pm Volunteers are needed to work with our Silent Auction. Help setup, act as ambassadors to promote the auction and encourage bidding, and assist winners with claiming their items and reconcile with checkout. Miscellaneous Event support – 5:00pm – 10:00pm Volunteers needed to act as greeters, hand out program books, assist with registration and act as floaters to provide overall support for the evening. Event Breakdown and Close out – 9:00pm – Midnight (or as needed) Volunteers are needed to help breakdown the event.
