Vote LibDem for another Coalition, Nick Clegg says The Liberal Democrat leader will make the argument that the Coalition has been good for the UK and that voters should back the LibDems if they want another one. Britons should vote Liberal Democrat in May’s general election if they want another Coalition, Nick Clegg will say today. The Deputy Prime Minister will set out his reasons for people to back the Lib Dems at a press conference at the party’s headquarters. The event was moved from a Government department on Sunday to the party venue, which will allow him to be more political in his remarks. Mr Clegg will make the argument that the Coalition has been good for the UK and that voters should back the LibDems if they want another one. He will say: “A strong coalition government, with Liberal Democrats anchoring it in the centre ground and not lurching to the extremes of left or right, remains the best way to make sure we finish the job and finish it fairly.” Mr Clegg will warn voters that a majority Government led by either the Conservatives or Labour is not in the best interests of the country.
