Vulupindi insiders have confirmed, the final 2015 budgetary figures were still being worked on when the draft was rushed to parliament upon orders to be presented. The revenue section in particular had NOT posted its final figures, which they now say would be around the K13bn mark, and not K16bn. Therein lies the real picture of the state of the economy, whos concealing the truth, and where public monies may have been prioritised. What the Opposition Leader pleaded on the floor on Tuesday for the budget to be taken back and redone had a lot of merrit, not only because it was incomplete, but that the figures were all over the place. Vulupindi staff admitted, up to the D day, they continuously juggled the figures because of pressure from the top. On Thursday, they again revealed that volume 3 was not ready, and by Friday afternoon the CDs containing just about the final paperwork and figures were released. It is the govermment who deliberately misled the nation on Tuesday, NOT the Opposition. Its no wonder why certain ministers have expressed regret with the 2015 national budget, Charles Abel being one. Kitchen Cabinet budget? Could well be. Was the Economic Ministerial Committees blessing sought? I dont think so. Minister Pruaitch will definitely have some answers. I will not be surprised govt backbenchers individual project submissions have been overlooked by their leaders instead for NCD developments coz thats where theyll be bankrolling their dirty pockets..
