WAGING WAR ON THE SIOUX NATION - NEXT CHAPTER Several days ago I wrote a post entitled Waging War On The Sioux Nation which basically stated that for the President to approve a pipeline though South Dakota would be tantamount to waging war on the Sioux Nation and that such a war, the President would lose. It also presented a scenario of the Keystone XL pipeline being re-routed and I concluded that if this was done, the opponents of KXL would lose because it is the unparalleled strength of the Sioux Nation, together with their allies, that is required to defeat the pipeline. Chapter Two Now Begins - Few Tribes within the boundaries of the USA have an ongoing history of engaging the US government in battle over issues like do the Sioux. Fewer have leaders that are famously known to the rest of the world. Pipelines and fracking plans will succeed in the United States if First Nation Peoples are not willing to stand together as one and work together to defeat the fossil fuel industry in the USA and Canada wherever it may be. You must do this regardless of how many hundreds or thousands of miles separate you from each other. On KXL the Sioux made a decision to oppose the pipeline and they didnt back down from that decision. Because of this show of unwavering strength, thousands of people in this country and throughout the world support them - they will never stand alone when it comes to protecting the Earth but the next battle may not be in their territory. The Sioux and all other tribes must make a pact to together defend the Earth and defeat the fossil fuel industry. Only the American Indian can lead us on this. We must find a way to organize a solid continent-wide force of First Nation people to defeat the fossil fuel industry. Again, for the President to approve a pipeline through South Dakota would be tantamount to declaring war on the Sioux Nation. It would be the largest Indian War this country has ever seen and it would be a war that the US government would lose. The Nebraska decision to ban the KXL gives the President an opportunity to re-route the KXL. The KXL will now be much more difficult to defeat. We must be prepared
