WAIT. A word we hate. On the waiting list. Wait in line. Wait your turn. Hurry up and wait. Wait and see. In other words, as they say in Texas, “Hold your horses!” Waiting doesn’t mean sit on your backside and do nothing. It means do what the plan is now and leave the scheduling to God. Keep working and watching while waiting. Expect great things to happen. God has perfect timing and He knows when we are ready for the next step. He knows when we can handle it. If it comes too soon we can destroy it with pride, ego, stubbornness, or immaturity. God is developing our wisdom, patience, and our ability to handle the amazing plans He has for us. Trust Him. If we get impatient, we will miss God’s best for our life. If we keep our Bible closed, it is impossible to wait for God. Open the Bible and read what He tells us to do while we wait. He is willing to show us the plan if we are willing to listen. Be still. Listen for God in the quietness. Don’t live life your way….live it God’s way! The best way. Life may not be all we dreamed of right now, but if we wait upon the Lord it can be better than we ever imagined! Psalm 37:7 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…..” TammyWhitehurst
