WAITING FOR OUR BLESSED HOPE - THE GLORIOUS APPEARANCE OF OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! “And as he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came up to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of YOUR COMING (parousia | παρουσία) and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them, “Watch out that no one deceives you!” (Matthew 24:3–4, LEB) “For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will BE THE COMING (parousia | παρουσία) OF THE SON OF MAN. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. “Immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN with power and great glory. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE OUGHT YOU TO BE IN HOLY CONDUCT AND GODLINESS, LOOKING FOR AND HASTENING THE COMING (parousia | παρουσία) OF THE DAY OF GOD, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!” (2 Peter 3:10–12, NASB95) “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
