WAKE UP AFRICA TO YOUR OWN POLICIES Most at times we hear people and even politicians talking about the need to take a cue from European countries in order for Africa to develop. I have a problem with such unintelligent, illogical, tactless and unsystematic reasoning. We always hear of socialism, capitalism, communism and all other ideologies which some so called Lord Nations followed to develop. Africans shouldn’t follow these ideologies with the aim of developing because most developed nations did not develop due to their ideologies but they developed by stealing our resources. In fact they are still developing because they have made us blind and are the same people leading us. Africa can developing a twinkle of an eye if we believe in ourselves and disassociate ourselves from western culture and ideologies. Karl Marx, the one who brought about Marxism did not take the systems in Africa into consideration when developing his ideology. Those who proposed socialism, capitalism and the rest did not consider systems in Africa when constructing these policies. How come we Africans tend to practice such policies? They rather took into consideration the systems in the western countries and the problems they were facing to make all these ideologies. Have you ever asked yourself why dogs bark and cats meow? Although they all animals, they have distinctive ways of doing things. The same applies to Africa and other western countries. What may be good for the West may not be good for Africa. This is what I want you to realize. If we continue to follow the ideologies they made for themselves, we shall fail and not only fail but fail exponentially. The West didn’t develop because of their ideologies. Rather they developed because strong Black men laid the foundation for them. In the 1800 and the 1700, many Africans were used as slaves to work on their farms and other fields to achieve what they are enjoying today. This is why Marcus Garvey carried out the ‘‘Back to Africa” scheme because he realized that if Africans can develop other nations they can develop Africa. Today most of the gold America and Britain have comes from the shores of Africa precisely Ghana. The golden linen in the Buckingham palace and the jewelries the Queen possess comes from the shores of Ghana. What at all does Britain have? Apart from coal, nothing can they boast of. On a more serious note, the western countries are still developing because they have made us blind and unfortunately, they are the same people directing us. They blind-fold us with such imperialistic institutions as UN, IMF, World Bank and propagate their neo-colonization schemes. They dump their spoilt foodstuffs in Africa in the name of food security in the continent. They put tight strings on loans just to collapse our local and indigenous industries. They brainwash our scholars by giving them Scholarships to study abroad and come back to trumpet the new found culture of capitalism and its associated ideologies which are meant to draw us into the quagmires of poverty. It is indeed clear that the downfall of Africa is the strength or back up of western economies and the development of Africa is the weakness or downfall of western economies. As a result, they find ways and means to neo-colonize us without our knowledge. The time has come for the youth of Africa to realize the harm being done to motherland. We hold the torch to the future of Africa, the earlier think and act the better for our continent. Let us lead Africa to the promise land and the dreams of Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jnr., Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba and others be fulfilled. The enemies of yesterday are the friends of today. This is just like an old drink in a new bottle. Watch out for the redemption of Africa cometh. Those who have eyes can see. Let us prove to the world that after all the Blackman is capable of controlling its own affairs. Bear in mind that the West didn’t develop because they possess extraordinary qualities but developed because of the power of Black men.
