WAKE UP your little black girls this morning and let them watch this video before they go to school. Mellody Hobson is a rare jewel who has some diverse experiences; but this is the first time I have seen her address the issue of Race so publicly. She knocked it out of the park. Hobson COULD have also told the audience about the time when, a few years ago, a Caucasian man who was writing a book, interviewed her over the phone, then wrote IN his published book that he had interviewed a Caucasian woman. SOME African-Americans who are well educated and spend much of their lives trying to communicate effectively, get these kinds of telephone mix-ups all the time. We know America is NOT color blind -- but I like Mrs. Hobsons suggestion that we all should be color brave. -- INFORMER (January 1, 2015)
