WALKING WITH GOD Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 Hi family. When we are going through whatever it is The Lord is leading ya through we, at least ME, want to run through the valley so we can escape the VALLEY experience. Am I the only one that thinks that way? : ) Anyway, I dont think it surprising the language scripture uses here in WALKING. I cant escape Isaiah 55:8 where God is specific about His ways and timing not being like ours or, as one brother used to put it: God is not in a hurry. : ) In reading one commentators thoughts on walking, he surfaced the comforting idea of not only walking but trusting the shepherd as you walk through the valley. The valley is filled with hidden dangers (dangerous pits and drop offs, abrupt steep cliffs, narrow passes, etc.) all of which we would be injured by running through and not walking carefully, prayerfully, step by step, trusting the shepherd as you hold His hand, trusting Him for each carefully/prayerfully placed foot. : ) Lord, please continue, by Your Spirit, to guide us in each step of the valley as we walk carefully and prayerfully with You. : ) Since we can trust You with our eternity we can trust You with the valley in our lives knowing You know that each has a beginning and each has an ending. Help us to relax and look for the lessons we are supposed to learn along the way. In Jesus name. Amen! Love and blessings! : )
