..WALTER MITTY Saw the new Ben Stiller version of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Was all prepared to hate it and have disdain that he would try to remake the classic 1947 Danny Kaye film of the same name. But.... I liked it! After 10 minutes, you forget that you are comparing it to the original and just start enjoying it. Its a great adventure film as Walter Mitty, a photographer from Life Magazine thats about to lose his job searches the world for a negative from a photo taken by a maverick legendary photographer (played by, of all people, Sean Penn. It was actually great casting as he was very good.) - Of course, Walter Mitty has daydreams where he rescues the girl or saves the day until his real life takes on danger and excitement as he goes to Greenland, Iceland, Afghanistan and gets into all sorts of trouble. - My only complaint is that, at the end of the film, he didnt punch out the evil guy with the beard who was taunting him the whole time the way Danny as Walter punched out Tubby Wadsworth at the end of the original film. I love that part ! :) (Any other opinions?)
