WANT TO ENTER JANNAH!!!! A beautiful hadeeth about the importance of Fajr prayer. ﻣﻦ ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﺒﺮﺩﻳﻦ ﺩﺧﻞ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺔ ﺭﻭﺍﻩ ﺍﻟﺒﺨﺎﺭﻱ ﺍﻟﻔﺘﺢ 2/52 . ﻭﺍﻟﺒﺮﺩﺍﻥ ﺍﻟﻔﺠﺮ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﺼﺮ “Whoever prays al-Bardayn will enter Paradise.” (1) Al-Bardayn are Fajr and 3Asr. Commentary: It is a must for every Muslim to offer every Salaat regularly but there are some prayers (Salaat) which cannot be performed punctually unless one takes special care of them. This is the reason some additional merits have been mentioned in this Hadeeth so that people exercise extra effort for performing them. Of these two is the Fajr prayer, the performance of which is more difficult than the other prayers because it occurs at a time of rest and deep sleep. How the angels Find you? Prophet sallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa sallam said: “Angels come to you in shifts by night and by day. They meet at salah al-Fajr and salah al-3Asr, then those who had stayed with you at night ascend, and are asked by the One Who knows better than they: “How did you find My servants?” They say, “We left them when they were praying, and we came to them when they were praying”. ” (2) It is narrated by Jarir bin 3Abdullah: “We were in the company of the Prophet sallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa sallam on a fourteenth night (of the lunar month), and he looked at the (full) moon and said: “You will see your Lord as you see this moon, and you will have no trouble in looking at Him. So, whoever can, should not miss the offering of prayers before sunrise (Fajr prayer) and before sunset (3Asr prayer).” Prophet sallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever prays fajr is under the protection of Allaah. Do not put yourselves in a situation where Allaah has to call you to account for your negligence, because whoever finds himself in this situation will be sorted out and then thrown on his face in the Fire of Hell.” (4) Shaykh Ibn 3Uthaymeen may Allaah have mercy on him said in Sharh Riyaadh al-Saaliheen (1/591): “This indicates that it is obligatory to respect the Muslims who affirm their Islam by praying Fajr, because no one offers Fajr prayer but a believer. And it is not permissible for anyone to transgress against them”. (5 This hadeeth is also reported in Tabaraani:: “Whoever prays fajr is under the protection of Allaah. Do not put yourselves in a situation where Allaah has to call you to account for your negligence.” (6) Tips for waking up for Fajr Some practical steps that will help to pray Fajr regularly inshaa’Allaah: Sleeping early Not talking after Isha (as it is disliked) To be taahir(clean) & saying the adhkaar before sleeping Having a sincere intention & being determind. Seeking help from one’s family & friends Setting alarms for fajr (on phones, mobiles, clocks) Throwing water in the face of sleeping person. Switching on the lights to dispel sleep. Not eating too much before going to sleep. & most importantly making du3aa’ to Allaah subhanahu wa ta3aala, as it is one of the greatest source of strength & success in all things.
