WANTED: On November 13, 2014 at 1:52pm Freeport Police responded to 11 ½ E Iroquois St in reference an unknown problem. Upon arrival, police located a 34 year old black male in the apartment with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Freeport Fire EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Freeport Police have obtained an arrest warrant for First Degree Murder for Damon T. Dixson, black male, 22 years of age, 6 01, 190lbs, goatee, tattoos on face and backs of both hands (see attached pictures). Dixson should be considered armed and dangerous. Chief Todd Barkalow states “At this time this incident does not appear to be gang related.” The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
