WAR - CHRISTMAS AND FAMILY - I had just completed a phone call with one of my South Sudanese colleagues. Before the war I was able to share his ethnicity and the ethnicity of other colleagues, but because of war I do not. Not long ago I was in country and believe me, there is much to communicate, observe and listen. Frustrations, hurt, past infractions and killings. - Hope of reconciliation seem far, the taste of peace that still lingers as a distant memory,..... the nagging questions.... can we forgive.... can we move on...... can we let go..... - Perhaps this Christmas as you sit with your family, .....perhaps you can identify. My prayer is that you look to Jesus and you surrender to Him - the author and perfecter of faith, before time passes once again. ... after all time is not our friend. - Tom Kilian, Director of Mercy Partners.
