WARBLER WEDNESDAY #2—May 28th: 75 SPECIES We had a large and fun group on our second Warbler Wednesday....and gorgeous weather! We went from 7am to Noon and found 75 species around the Bog. What a difference from last Wednesday when we had NO leaves on the trees. Now the woods are fully leafed out making observations a bit more difficult. HIGHLIGHTS: Scope-views of Golden-winged Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo, Upland Sandpiper, Wilsons Snipe and Black-backed Woodpecker (on McDavitt). SIX Upland Sandpipers in the big field SW of intersection of CR52/Arkola and Poplar. Black-billed Magpie near Meadowlands Olive-sided Flycatcher on CR209 (also N. Parula, Black-throated Green Warbler and side-by-side male and female Black and White Warblers) NEXT WARBLER WEDNESDAYS...June 4th and 11th Free to members (those who have donated $20 or more during last 12 months); $20 for non-members (and this will be your membership which includes free field trips). Leader will be Ben Yokel.
