Immediate Start Avoid the daily traffic grind Work with a young, motivated and dedicated team Work with some of Australias leading online retailers, and join a high growth industry where we specialise Salary negotiable based on experience Fantastic Opportunity to develop of grow personally and professionally Next Logistics is a specialist 3PL / Warehouse provider supporting small through to large Australian and International businesses providing end to end Logistics services including storage, receiving, pick and pack, order processing, kitting, freight and more Established in 2005 we have grown quickly to become well recognised across the industry and the go to company for online retailers We urgently require an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Smeaton Grange operations, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager and overseeing a team of 30+ warehouse staff. This is a hands on role working closely with and in the warehouse operations, directly daily workload, identifying issues and improvements, co-ordination, training and development of existing team and more. We will provide ongoing support and training to the succesful staff member Detailed Experience and Requirements Essential Proven warehouse experience with supervisory responsibility Ability to demonstrate good supervisory skills and to work effectively as part of a team A flexible, highly motivated, proactive and can do working style Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments Good interpersonal skills, ability to obtain information, determine course of action and follow through to successful resolution, escalating to manager where appropriate Good attention to detail and accuracy skills Good security awareness and understanding of the vulnerability of stock within a warehouse environment Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work effectively within a sometimes pressurised environment, whilst maintaining compliance to company policies and procedures Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, generate fresh and innovative ideas to improve department. Good working knowledge of own department, equipment, vehicles, plant and industry changes Proven experience of working in a target lead environment and delivering to KPIs Proven financial awareness, with the ability to work within defined budgets Ability to build and maintain customer confidence in the centre, its service and product range Good working knowledge of Microsoft Access systems Good working knowledge of Word and Excel Hold a full driving licence Hold a LF Forklift licence Duties To assist in the supervision of and in maintaining an efficient and effective team/department, understanding customer needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible Ensure cleanliness of building, work areas and external areas at all times Assist in development and motivation of team. Promote efficiency, budget awareness, company standards and commitment to area. Assist with provision of personnel service to team in line with company policy and current legislation Demonstrate a positive leadership style with an enthusiastic, positive, committed and flexible attitude. Promoting the importance and benefits of effective team working Assist in management of payroll related documentation, providing in line with company standards and deadlines. Assist with supervision of employees in compliance to Health & Safety Policy within the team, championing best practice and providing assistance/advice where required Assist with management of stock and wastage figures. Assist with forecasts, budgets and work to targets. Assist team in recognising importance of KPIs in relation to business success. Assist with production of reports for Senior Management as required Generate new and innovative ideas to enhance and improve department. Maintain equipment/area effectively and efficiently in line with best practice and company policy. Ensure function is safe, secure, clean and organised.
