WARNING ABOUT AVG VIRUS PROTECTION...... AVG Technologies sell you a virus protection product that does not protect against virus. They offer customer services, by simply ignoring any form of contact. When you finally get to talk to someone, they are from an overseas call centre that simply read from a script. Since 11th July, I have been begging AVG Technologies for help with a paid subscription that I have with them. My laptop (which held the license) was riddled with virus. On 11th July they promised me that I would have a response within 24 hours.......... I am still waiting. They are happy to accept payment, without providing a product or service that works. I took my laptop to a company that repairs computers, when I told him that I had been using a paid AVG license, he simply shook his head and said well that was your first mistake...... Anyway my laptop is fixed and I as yet still have not heard back from AVG in relation to the 8 emails, numerous conversations and facebook posts. I paid $112 for my subscription and as they are not returning my money, I would like to give them some publicity. My computer guy has now installed Trend Micro Internet Security, with will cover me for 12 mth for only $45........ They also have a much better customer service program. Please feel free to share this info as a warning to anyone that is thinking about spending their money on any AVG products. If you dont want to put this on your wall, please could I ask that you like it, so I can get the work out. AVG is an international company, so even if you live overseas, please feel free to share.
