WARNING! BLACK MAN CAUGHT ON TAPE AT THE GYM FOR KILLING the beat! This is security footage of me dancing (as I normally do) in between sets yesterday during my first visit to Anytime Fitness in Mornington Penninsula, Australia. Later that day, the manager contacted me for permission to upload the footage to the internet. After watching it, I had a good laugh and agreed. In less than 24 hours it received thousands of views. They are now considering to hire me to teach dance classes. Hearing the news from back home in America, I (have always) saw my people represented negatively by the media. Id rather dance, workout, watch something entertaining, educational, or empowering. To all the young people watching and reading, remember that the media is an industry and industries do business. Social injustice is more profitable than social justice. You have a choice to accept or challenge it. There will always be racism but you have the power to succumb to it or overcome it. My title was a play on words to get your attention but tragedy is not a laughing matter, especially when youre going through it. I get high with my sisters & brothers, because we are always uplifting each other.
