****WARNING: BORING POLITICAL CRAP ALERT**** Im not entirely sure how I found this article, but I like the perspective. Especially the part in #4 about why some feminists (unfairly) refuse to recognize any issues other than womens issues, and why its important for men to approach their own issues without blaming women or feminism (because thats what MRAs do, and those guys are WAY wrong). Ive never NOT wanted gender equity. Seriously. Trying to have a conversation with somebody who dismisses any issues that arent their own, however, has always been my biggest frustration with the feminist conversation, and having those issues dismissed because Im male (and therefore the problem) is a level of hypocrisy Ive never had the patience for. Hell, the last time I got in a fight with an angry, self-proclaimed feminist online, I told her she was full of shit, and her response was to imply -- quite directly -- that the size of my genitalia was inadequate. HOW am I supposed to take that conversation on equality seriously?! ANYWAY, this article does a pretty good job of applying some perspective without misplacing any blame, and THAT is the kind of feminism I can get behind. (Also, sorry for the long post. This stems from an IRL conversation I had the other day, and is -- hopefully -- the last thing Ill have to say on this for a while)
