At 32 years of age I thought the pain Ive suffered throughout my childhood would have subsided by now... It has not.. Theres good days and bad days. Good weeks and bad weeks. In some cases even good years. People who dont suffer from depression dont truly understand the internal pain one can suffer. Its very similar to me what people with PTSD suffer. Not so much the depression part as much as the overall horror thats on constant repeat in my head. At least in my situation. Its a never ending battle within yourself... Within myself... Self expression through multiple forms of art have been my temporary release... Temporary... Seeking attention and approval from others puts bandaids on the wounds. But even those get old and fall off. Someday I would like to write everything out that has happened. Someday Id like to share it all. Someday I would like to break free... I hope... Hi, my name is Steven Herbert. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. Ive been severely abused and tortured both physically and mentally to an extent that would make you sick to your stomach if you knew. If you REALLY knew. Why the over share? You may ask.
