WARNING! Do you have a water softener in your home? Please learn from our mistake! We took both our dogs to the vet for a check-up. They both had crystals in their urine, they were dehydrated and one dog had kidney and bladder stones. To make a long story short it turned out to be the soft water they were drinking. They drank plenty of water but the wrong kind. One of our dogs just had major surgery to have a jagged stone removed from his bladder. Never drink softened water or give it to your pet! Its like drinking sea water and is very harmful! Softened water affects: Nervous system Brain chemistry Causes dehydration which can cause kidney failure Its like drinking sea water Increases anxiety Increases aggression in dogs and people Can cause ALL kinds of health problems Can causes kidney and bladder stones Causes crystals in urine NO LIVING THING SHOULD EVER DRINK SOFT WATER! I have a more scientific definition if anyone is interested.
