WARNING: GRAPHIC Advocates we have waited and waited, suggested, attempted to aid, emailed & emailed & everything else we can think of. Unfortunately, below is the reality of why Fulton County Animal Services is not as effective in helping animals as it could be and our ATL community is not receiving the service we are paying for. * Lifeline chose to keep over 50% of the prior staff from a vendor that was removed due to poor performance concentrated in the front office and field which handles complaints, receipt, response to & dispatch of the field/calls, tickets & fines - highly critical areas for the facility. * The field is a largely an unsupervised position and the AC officers are not picking up animals because the Lifeline leadership is not holding them accountable to because the shelter is over-capacity. * The facility is over-capaiacity because shelter Leadership has failed to engage the community with a diverse, energetic, innovative staff nor have they responsibly addressed the demographic in Fulton County to engage the community. The shelter is allowed & directed to operate in a non-inclusive & non-transperent culture, which often ostracizes/attacks the public. * The shelter does not effectively participate in prevention programs & youth programs. It claims to do so but the actual communities/residents around the facility remain un-assisted & unengaged. Result: As seen below Fulton animals are painfully dying on the streets of Metro ATL GA & continue to multiply unnecessarily. Suggestions are welcome on how to address the cycle of non-effectiveness for our animals & community. Lifeline Animal Project is the management company Fulton County Tax Payers pay 2.4 million year to manage Animal Control Services. Fulton County Board of Commissioners and Fulton County Employee Oliver Delk have over-site of the tax funded facility. RIP - you deserved better.
