*WARNING! GRAPHIC PHOTOS!* Our sweet, sweet tiny Juliet had a freak accident happen the other day and was bit by a spider or something (we really have no idea). It started as a little welt which quickly turned into an abcess and then to a badly infected wound which needed surgery to remove the infection and dead tissue. Whatever bit her was lucky not to kill her. Surgery had to wait over the weekend until today but luckily we had some pain meds and antibiotics to keep her stable. This has been a very scary situation but were SO incredibly thankful to South Novato Animal Hospital for making it possible for Juliet to be seen immediately and get surgery as soon as possible. They did an incredible job even though this tiny 2lb 9oz girl didnt have much skin to work with. Were very blessed to have such an incredible hospital to work with. ALL the doctors and techs are really top notch! Its been a rough struggle for just little with pain girl but late tonight showed some improvement when she decided to eat a good meal of dehydrated raw food (Stella and Chewys is the only thing shell eat but I guess we cant complain) and after three attempts, she went potty outside! Were keeping her heated crate open to a potty pad incase she feels strong enough to go by herself but shes usually pretty content to park and lock it where its warm and soft. We have our alarms set for 4am for her next dose of pain meds. Were not sure yet how expensive the emergency Vet bills were yet but were coming we can get some donations to help cover the medications, surgery, antibiotics, anything would really help right now! And PLEASE well wishes. She still needs to get through these next few days without pulling any stitches to know were on the right path! To donate a completely tax deductible donation to a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue for just tiny girl, please go to noboundariesanimalrescue.org/donate.html
