WARNING!!! GRAPHIC!!! URGENT!! We know this image is unsettling and difficult to view. Imagine seeing this dog in person and hearing his cries. We received a frantic call for help yesterday evening from a shelter we work closely with. This little angel had just been brought in and needed immediate transport to an emergency vet for what we believed at the time to be a broken jaw. At a very minimum, we needed to get IV pain meds started right away. Typically, we would try to secure funding first but as you can imagine, there was no time for that. This baby needed out and NOW!! Angels Among Us Pet Rescue rushed Rapha to the nearest emergency vet hospital which thankfully, happens to be one of our very best. There we received the diagnosis... Raphas jaw is not broken but is literally disintegrating from the most severe case of dental disease we have ever seen. His jawbone is exposed, brittle, and falling apart. He is riddled with infection and will need immediate surgery to remove a portion of the jaw itself. We cannot even begin to imagine how long he has been suffering. The vet determined that this was not direct abuse but rather a case of severe neglect. We come to you, our fans and supporters, with a tearful plea for donations to save this little guy. Although, we do not yet have an estimate from the surgeon, there is no doubt this well be an extremely costly surgery. Rapha is indeed in bad shape but he doesnt have to die like this. He is so sweet and still has a sparkle in his eye. He has a joyful spirit and deserves so much better. Please help change Raphas life by making a donation to his medical expenses.
