VETERANS: Mario Luigi Peach Bowser Yoshi Donkey Kong Diddy Kong Wario Dr. Mario Marth Ike Link Zelda Sheik Toon Link Ganondorf Mr. Game & Watch Pit Pikachu Jigglypuff Lucario Charizard R.O.B. Ness Fox Falco Captain Falcon Kirby King Dedede Meta Knight Olimar Samus Zero Suit Samus Sonic NEWCOMERS: Little Mac Rosalina & Luma Alph (Olimars Alternate Costume) Lucina Robin Shulk Greninja Mega Man Pac-Man Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings Duck Hunt Dog Dark Pit Palutena Wii Fit Trainer Villager Mii Fighters Thats a total of 49 for the roster. However if you count some of the characters separately (adding the Koopalings and Alph) that is a whopping 57 playable characters! Sadly Ryker there is no Ice Climbers. And sadly Daniel there is no Wolf. However there could be a possibility for DLC for the game, given the fact that Mario Kart 8 has DLC on the way.
