WARNING: LINK IS TO A FILM THAT IN MY OPINION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. CAVEAT EMPTOR AND SURF RESPONSIBLY. H. P. Lovecraft wrote his horror-science fiction novella At the Mountains of Madness in 1931. Since then many filmmakers have tried to visually interpret his stories and, in my humble opinion, they have all failed miserably with the exception of the 2005 independent silent film adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu (will link to info in the comments). This is not the best you will ever see, but the story is true to the spirit of the original novel and again, IMHO, is a very good interpretation. The film is in Italian, so turn on the English subtitles. I think that those who will enjoy it most are those who have already read the novel. Also, be aware that I would rate the film R as there is some gore in the beginning of the film. And Great Cthulhu himself has a cameo!
