Kathleen Mantel beautiful wahine from Te Awanga/Haumoana realised a vision & ventured into searching for whanau to share their lives of how & why our HBHS Maori boys were succeeding. Her crew Whata & Dan became regulars in our whanau 4 days every month for the year. Thanks Chesser Cowan 4 putting his hand up & taking on the challenge. As a whanau we realised how big this project was going to be & unsure of the end result. We decided we wanted to tell our story of how it is for us. Share our Ups & work through the downs, learning as we go together. Our main motivation was to reach whanau who r like us & give hope that you are not alone. We can overcome & succeed if we believe in ourselves & each other. We all have unlimited potential, its no ones place to say otherwise.
