WARNING! RANT ALERT! Dont ever accuse me of giving my children a slave mentality. If one more person asks me WHY I am teaching my children Ag life, organic gardening, tending livestock exc. I AM GOING TO SNAP! Do not ask why I dont teach them a life skill like sports (yes I was told that, not that I am knocking sports) rather then a SLAVE SKILL (meaning agriculture...I know ignorant right). As if FOOD is not a LIFE SKILL, it is THE LIFE SKILL. From this they learn responsibility, where and how to grow, raise and prep food, how to preserve a breed, trade and barter, business skills, how to build a profit margin, evaluate profit/loss, sales and if a major catastrophic event happened tomorrow my TODDLER could forage and eat better then your teenagers. My kids know how to produce food. So stay in your lane and keep your options to yourself. Oh wait I take that back, you dont have an opinion because you are damn irrelevant and a non MF factor. Oh and on an additional note the people we have met (yes mostly white) have been some of the kindest, warm hearted and friendly people I have had the privilege to know and call friends. They have taken the time to share skills and knowledge with me and my family.
