(WARNING: Self-back-patting to follow.) More thoughts: Ive performed in 42 community-level productions, and now that the curtains closed on our last performance, I think I can safely say that Spelling Bee has been my overall favorite. Never have i worked with a cast with a higher talent per person average, and every single one of us used every bit of talent we had. The word that keeps popping into my head is close-knit. In our music, in our character choices, and our interactions both on and off stage, Ive never felt closer to my fellow cast members. We truly built this whole show together as a group, as a completely cohesive unit. If you were to replace any single member of this cast, the whole thing falls apart completely. I consider myself the luckiest person alive for having the opportunity to be a part of this show. I love you all very dearly, and I leave this experience with the fondest of memories.
