WARNING!!!!! Speaker scam!!!! Hispanic guy, no accent, mid-30s with longer hair (almost to his shoulders) approaches mostly college-aged guys, telling them he got stuck with extra speakers and really needs to get rid of them. Goes on to explain that its not a scam, really, hes just in a bind and need to sell them. He hangs out near banks and ATMs because that makes it easier for the victim to grab cash for the con. The speakers look real and have what seems to be a real brand name Da Vinci on them.....but they are hollow! No parts inside to make sound. You get these great big boxes with a bunch of wire and thats it. He worked this area back in 2009 and now hes back. Just attempted to scam my son about an hour ago at Twin Star. When my son saw what the guy was selling, he took out his phone to take down the license plate number and the guy jumped in his car and took off. Police have been notified. The guy drives a silver Chrysler mini van, probably a 2003-2005, Washington license plate AJF0934. Hes ripping off kids who dont have much money to start with. Gets them all excited to have these awesome speakers and then leaves them with useless boxes and wire.....and broke. If you see him, report him to the police.
