WARNING TO CHRISTIANS: Has your Church Pastor been referencing many of his sermons with Romans 13, in an attempt to quash our right and duty to fight government corruption and aggression? If, as some Pastors assert, Pauls letter to the Romans was an order to obey government authority without question, why are people like Moses or Daniel - who refused a direct order from a King - listed amongst Gods chosen heroes in the book of Hebrews? If indeed you have the Spirit of God within you, you will know the difference between legitimate authority, and that which is illegitimate and profane. We are by NO MEANS supposed to blindly obey every foolish, unprincipled and intrusive whim of government; and it is also abundantly clear that not all (man-made) government is ordained and approved by God. If they were, then they would all be of one accord, and certainly not hindering the progress of the spreading of Gods word, or his peace and harmony. Authority is not the result of government, rather government is the result of authority. True authority is by the Law of YHWH, not the law of man! Furthermore, legitimate authority is found in principles of justice, which God established most definitely to first and foremost be obeyed by those in government. So if, indeed, we have a duty to respect and obey Gods authority, we have a duty to oppose any government which does not conform to just principles, and/or honour the Constitutional duties and common law restraints placed on it. In other words, if your Church pastor is not working to encourage the congregation to oppose the errors of government decrees and statutes, and defend the Magna Carta [or your respective constitution], he is disrespecting Gods true ordained authority, and is [by his own admission] worse than one who practices witchcraft - (1Sa 15:23). 1Co 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. Truth is authority; authority is not truth.
