WARNING TO OUR LEADERS There was this story of Ajana, the head of Oro cult in one community whose wife was caught outside during oro festival. She was captured and taken to Oro groove for necessary atonement. When the Ajana came to see the other cult leaders, he pleaded with them saying.... Iam not saying you should not go ahead and behead this woman, but I plead in the name of our gods, not to refer to her as Ajanas wife in order to preserve our agelong culture and tradition mi oni ki Oro magbe arabinrin yi sugbon eyonda fun mi ki oro ma gbe oruko mi moo It is important to note here that Ajana realised the importance of his name in the community and the need to preserve the sanctity of his office for future reference. The youth and few vibrant leaders of Yewa and Aworiland are in the same vein appealing to some of our Elders including those of you in diaspora who are currently playing their usual bad tunes in the ongoing political game to please toe the line of Ajana as enumerated in the short story above , it is important that they preserve their family name not because of their own purpose but because one day their sons and daughters will come forward to lay claim to positions of our common interest and we shall be there to remind them of your individual roles in our long stay in the wilderness. If you cant support the present match towards 2015 elections please maintain dignified silence and stay in your sitting rooms to read newspapers. We are gradually moving to the stage of looking ourselves in the face to say the obvious truth without minding whose ox is gored.....
