This work horse arrived on site while our mulch installation crew was sprucing up his apartment complexs playground. Taking great pride in his refuge of solitude, he politely asked the crew if theyd mind him helping out as long he used his own wheel barrow. Assuming hed probably run back and forth once or twice and quickly lose interest, they asked his mother if she was opposed to it. She thought it was wonderful that her little boy would rather work outdoors with his hands than sit inside and watch TV so she gave her full blessing. 2 hours later, all the other kids were long gone and the sun was beginning to set but this man-child didnt even notice. Hed already ripped off his shirt and made it clear he had no intention of quitting till the job was done. As the sun finally dropped below the horizon, his mother told him hed done enough work for one day and it was time to call it a night. He says ok and asks the crew where their boss is. The guys point him in the direction of the crew boss and he proceeds to walk towards him. Upon arrival, this incredibly rare hard working kid says, I dont want to buy my mom says I have to quit for tonight. Can I get paid? As a company that struggles to find reliable individuals who are willing to go out and work hard for their paycheck rather than working hard to get to the mailbox to see if their government subsidies have arrived yet, this was both amazing and encouraging to witness. Theres still hope after all, business owners!
