WARNING: There are many scam operators trying to get businesses to pay for annual minutes and reports and other certifications. They look real. They are not. Please do not get caught. Please feel free to send any official looking documents to my office for review if you have any doubts. However, it is time to file your annual report with the State of Florida if you are a corporation or limited liability company, whether for profit or not-for-profit. If you serve as your own registered agent, you might want to rethink that, especially if you operate out of your home and are rarely there. We are happy to provide that service to you. But whatever your choice, dont forget to file timely. The annual reports are due no later than May 1 and carry a very hefty late fee that the Division of Corporations cannot waive. And failure to file by September 30 comes at an even greater price to get your entity reinstated which if you hold licenses or have other items at risk, you likely need to do. You can contact Accounting & Tax Edge locally owned by Christina Hansen CPA at 863-875-7853 if you have any other questions or email us at help@yourtaxedge. yourtaxedge
