WARNING: To All Green-thumbed Residents Two separate cases of theft of valuable vegetation have come to our attention, both occurring at residences within our jurisdiction in the last few days. The most recent case, occurring at one of our clients homes in a Weltevreden Park on Sunday (8 August), has even led to the discovery of a small syndicate operating solely to this end, which could be linked to the other reported case and indeed many others within the areas surrounding. The group consists of four members, three white male suspects and one white female suspect, operating in two separate vehicles -a white Ford Bantam bakkie and a white Hyundai i20. They were caught in the act of stealing multiple trees from the residence by our client, and managed to make off with three before being scared off. CCTV footage recorded the entire event. With this, we must urge all residents to keep an eye on foliage located at or near perimeter boundaries. Expensive vegetation in plain sight, or in arms reach of criminals, is at a clear risk.
