WARNING to everyone!!!!! My Sprocker and my Sisters springer Im looking after have been at the vets on drips today with suspected SCI (seasonal canine illness). The autumn mites that cause this, which can be a fatal illness was found on the dogs. These mites are mostly found in wooded areas between Sept-Dec and once on the dogs they bite and it can cause a toxic reaction affecting the whole amune system. If you see any signs of sickness, diarrhoea and lethargicness check in their ears and inbetween their paws for tiny orange specs and take your dog to the vets ASAP! I was advised to stay away from woods until the end of January!
